Right of the bat, this is strange and kind of an oxymoron because to lose fat you must keep your calories low right? Just because you need to create a deficit in calories it doesn’t mean you should stay away from high calorie foods. Just a fair warning, these foods are NOT chili cheese fries and donuts.

Egg Yolk

Don’t forget the yolk. when eating eggs the simplest way to cut calories is to cut the yolk and only eat egg whites. Yolks are loaded with nutrients like vitamin A and B-Vitamins. Egg yolks are one of the most nutrient Dense “fats” you can eat. For every 3 egg whites have 1 yolk. You will feel the energy that the yolk will provide for you in your next training session.

Avocado

A third of an avocado can easily add 80 calories. I am not saying to go crazy overload with avocado. But this bad boy has nutrients your body needs when you are in a calorie restricted diet. The fats found in avocado help you feel full for a longer period of time. Give your self permission to have some avocado if and only if you are really watching what you are eating. Extra calories for the sake of adding good nutrients is counter productive if you are not really watching what you are eating.

Nuts

If you want to lose weight, nuts is a really good option as snacks. The downside of nuts is that you can easily get carried away when you eat them. Before you know it, you ra almost done with the whole pack or ate 3-4 times the amount you should’ve ate. 23 almonds is about 160 calories and like avocado, they too, will also male yo feel full. Nuts are loaded with fiber and protein. Tip: measure or count how many nuts you eat before. Do not consume them straight from the pack or package or you will overeat.

Olive oil

Olive oil is high in calories but you can’t discount the benefits such as reduction of inflammation, greta for when you are having intense but fun training sessions. One tablespoon is loaded with 120 calories.

Regardless of the lifestyle and nutrition you choose to consume here are some thoughts:

-You can think of healthy fats like mentioned above if you are eating anything and everything.

-These alone will not make you lose weight.

-Losing weight and getting lean is a combination of watching what you eat and a great training program

-Patience, this is where most give up. They are not patient with themselves. If it took them 4 years to gain 60 pounds and they want to lose it in 4 days. Be patient. Be patient. Be patient.
