Whether it’s speaking to strangers you meet, or perhaps making a YouTube video, pushing your boundaries and engaging in something you would normally shy away from will quickly allay the fears holding you back.
By not taking risks and potential opportunities, you are limiting your true potential. Just by taking small steps on a daily basis and doing things you would normally avoid will allow you come out of your shell, and erode anxieties plaguing your life.
Working out on a regular basis will help you to feel more positive about your body, and it will also make you much healthier. The increased body positivity will make you more confident when in the presence as others, and working out also significantly reduces your chances of contracting diseases, such as heart disease and high cholesterol. Exercise also relieves tension from your body, and lowers stress and anxiety levels, due to the added number of endorphins released into the body.

3. Spend quality time with family and friends
For those who live very busy lifestyles, finding time to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends is highly important. While we may spend plenty of time with work colleagues, nothing beats the bonds that we share with our family and friends. Whether it’s just chilling out, engaging in sporting activities or going to watch events, these interactions are sure to give you a personal boost.
4. Set daily goals and commit to them
Many people say that they are going to do things, but ultimately end up not doing them. This gives off an impression that they talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk, as well as making them look bad to others, it also doesn’t help to improve their own self-esteem. If you’re going to float ideas and goals, it’s imperative that you actually follow through with them.
To enable you to do this more easily, form a routine. If you set a simple goal each night for the following day, you give yourself a challenging but manageable goal. Moreover, you are making your life more purposeful, rather than ambling from day-to-day without direction. Those who get stuck in ruts do so because they have little ambition, which generally results from not knowing what they want to achieve.

5. Getting good sleep
No matter how busy you are, ensuring you get a good night’s sleep is vital to ensuring that you reach your maximum potential. Those who fail to get a proper night’s sleep tend to lack concentration the following day and fail to make decisions. Poor sleeping patterns have also been noted to lead to depression.
The National Sleep Foundation recommends that adults regularly sleep for between seven and nine hours per night. If you don’t believe you’re getting enough sleep, form a sleeping schedule and maintain it. If you have issues getting to sleep, consider different relaxing methods and meditation to help calm you down. In addition, try to keep electronics out of your bedroom when you sleep. Televisions, laptops and smartphones can distract you and keep your brain active, preventing it from shutting down for the night.
